Experience Description

The tour that I host via SeekSherpa is a basic photography lesson best suited for kids(12-17 years of age) at one of the most iconic and amazing locations in Delhi - The Lodhi Gardens!

Summers are here, and so are summer vacations! Discover the inner photographer and artist within your child via this photography workshop through the Lodhi Gardens.

Early morning timings will provide the best lighting conditions while the backdrop of lush green Lodhi Gardens will provide excellent subjects to click pictures.

I will be discussing in depth about the focal lengths, depth of field (or aperture), ISO settings, composition techniques, exposure controls, noise, various modes on your dial, and how to control them in order to make the most of whichever camera you might be having.

Also, I can be of help if you plan to invest in some equipment and are confused on how to go about it.
What Camera do you need? A dSLR will be ideal, though not a must. A 200-250mm (or higher) lens will get you the best results.

Anyone with an advanced point and shoot or a bridge camera can also join in! One and all are welcome, regardless of the equipment. It'll be a great learning experience for everyone.

About Me

Hello all! I am a self taught photographer and I have been practicing photography for many years. I admire all forms photography but nature and travel photography are the closest to my heart. I have had tonnes of experiences in the field which not only made me a better photographer, but also a better person, and I would invite all of you to come and be a part of my journey. I was born and brought up in Delhi, and all of me loves all of this city. I think that this is one of the most gifted cities of the world in all aspects and have wandered and explored the lanes of this megacity since I was a little boy. This city has just so much to offer, that one lifetime is certainly not enough to experience it all. The heritage, the culture, the cuisine, the nature, the people, the landscapes, they all add up to make Delhi the perfect platform to bring out the artists in us. Other than photography and traveling for photography, I like to read (mainly travelogues), watch movies and drive. I am a big foodie (who isn't?) and love to savour the awesome and vivid flavours my city has to offer.

Why Me

Having been raised in a nature loving environment, interned at WWF-India, and studying about birds and animals since I was a little kid, I have gained good knowledge about both nature as well as photography from first-hand experience and observation and not just book knowledge. I have travelled to almost all the popular natural reserves in India. A law student by degree, but wildlife photography by passion. A resident as well as lover of Dilli, I am quintessentially a student of the nature and environs of this beautiful city. I love birds, birding, and bird photography! Hello all!
